La 205 era nata due anni prima ed era gi\u00e0 un grande successo commerciale, trainato dalle versioni GTi e dalle vittorie nei rally delle Turbo 16.<br \/>\nDal 1984, Pininfarina, che realizza per PSA le Talbot Samba Cabriolet, comincia a lavorare alla trasformazione della 205, lavorando sulle scocche provenienti dalla Francia fino a Torino dove Pininfarina aggiunge i rinforzi al telaio, i componenti specifici come i parafanghi posteriori, monta gli interni, i vetri e ovviamente la capote. Utilizzando camion chiusi le vetture ritornano poi in Francia per essere completate con la parte meccanica, prima di essere messe sul mercato.<\/p>\n<p>Nel 1996, ultimo anno di produzione, si contano 72.142 unit\u00e0 realizzate in poco pi\u00f9 di dieci anni.<\/p>\n<p>Al compimento dei trent\u2019anni, la Peugeot 205 Cabriolet entra a far parte delle vetture storiche e Peugeot Italia celebra l\u2019avvenimento recuperando due esemplari, una rossa e una bianca, da inserire nel proprio parco stampa.<br \/>\nEntrambe sono versioni CTi, cio\u00e8 il top della gamma, equipaggiate con il motore 1.6 della GTi da 115 cavalli. Si tratta del mix perfetto tra eleganza e sportivit\u00e0 grazie alla briosit\u00e0 del motore e all\u2019assetto adeguato.<\/p>\n<p>Eppure la 205 Cabriolet era nata con un motore 1.4 e successivamente verr\u00e0 proposta ad un prezzo molto accessibile anche con il 1.1 nell\u2019allestimento CJ: Cabriolet Junior. Molti per\u00f2 ricordano soprattutto il verde metallizzato con la capote bianca della versione Roland Garros, riconoscibile anche dagli interni in pelle bianca e tessuto grigio a quadri e dalla capote a funzionamento elettrico.<\/p>\n<p>A livello collezionistico, le cabriolet sono le 205 pi\u00f9 ambite, dopo le GTi. Il Club Storico Peugeot Italia (clubstorico@peugeot.it) ne ha censite un centinaio in Italia.
