Concept car studiate per l’\u2019overlanding\u2019, la Ram 1500 Rebel OTG (“off-the-grid”), e il Concept Lowliner Mopar, la rivisitazione del pick-up Dodge serie D200 del 1968, saranno presentate per la prima volta all’edizione 2019 del SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association), la principale vetrina commerciale al mondo di prodotti speciali per il settore automotive.<\/p>\n

\u201cQueste vetture evidenziano come Mopar continui incessantemente ad esplorare e sviluppare nuove soluzioni che rispondano alle esigenze dei nostri appassionati fan e ne colpiscano l’immaginazione,\u201d ha affermato Mark Bosanac, Head of Mopar Service, Parts and Customer Care di FCA \u2013 Nord America. \u201cChe si tratti di spingersi in luoghi remoti, o di reinterpretare gli elementi classici del design, Mopar \u00e8 pronta a soddisfare i propri clienti.\u201d<\/p>\n

Concept Ram 1500 Rebel OTG (“off-the-grid”)<\/strong><\/p>\n

La passione per l’overlanding continua a crescere in tutto il mondo, per questo motivo il team Mopar, in collaborazione con il principali fornitori di attrezzature ed equipaggiamento per l’outdoor, ha realizzato un esclusivo concept destinato alle avventure off-road pi\u00f9 estreme, il Concept Ram 1500 Rebel OTG.<\/p>\n

\u201cRispetto alle tradizionali \u2018avventure in 4×4\u2019, nell’overlanding l’obiettivo finale \u00e8 il viaggio in quanto tale. L’intento \u00e8 quello di esplorare, piuttosto che superare ostacoli,” ha affermato Joe Dehner, Head of Ram Truck and Mopar design. \u201cQuesto \u00e8 il motivo per cui abbiamo sviluppato questo concept, per consentire di intraprendere il turismo di avventura in modo autonomo e confidando sulla propria vettura, esplorando localit\u00e0 remote e interagendo con altre culture. Questa \u00e8 esattamente la vettura che vorrei avere ogni volta che scelgo di spingermi su percorsi estremi \u2018off-the-grid.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Il concept OTG \u00e8 derivato dal nuovo Ram 1500 MY 2020, equipaggiato con il nuovo motore EcoDiesel V-6 da 3,0 litri, che offre eccezionali livelli di coppia e maggiore autonomia di guida grazie al serbatoio da 125 litri, ideale per viaggiare su lunghe distanze.<\/p>\n

In aggiunta alle prestazioni del modello Ram 1500 Rebel di produzione, le capacit\u00e0 off-road della vettura sono state migliorate grazie al kit assetto rialzato da 2″ by Mopar, alle ruote Beadlock e agli pneumatici Goodyear di 35″.<\/p>\n

Il concept OTG comprende inoltre accessori concept realizzati da Mopar, come il paraurti anteriore con verricello integrato, una calandra pi\u00f9 grande con badge R-A-M e una presa d’aria a snorkel \u2013 che contribuiscono a migliorare la capacit\u00e0 e le prestazioni off-road. Per proteggere la vettura quando si attraversano i percorsi pi\u00f9 impervi, sono stati installate fasce paracolpi sulle ruote anteriori e posteriori e barre di protezione parasassi rock-rail lungo la fiancata.\u00a0Un paraurti concept posteriore, adattato dal modello Tradesman 1500, migliora l’angolo di uscita della vettura grazie allo spostamento del terminale di scarico.<\/p>\n

Inoltre, grazie alla versatilit\u00e0 offerta dal portellone posteriore multifunzione del RAM con porte ad apertura indipendente e ripartizione 60\/40, il cassone pu\u00f2 essere accessoriato in modo da offrire la funzionalit\u00e0 necessaria ad affrontare le avventure pi\u00f9 estreme.<\/p>\n

Una struttura speciale fissata sulla parte superiore del cassone, consente di alloggiare una tenda pieghevole al tetto a cui si accede tramite una scaletta a scomparsa. Per rendere ancora pi\u00f9 piacevole le esperienze di overlanding, il cassone presenta un frigo-box a scomparsa\u00a0 alimentato a batteria, un gruppo di cottura dotato di fornello a gas e lavello e un impianto idrico di bordo. Sul tetto della cabina \u00e8 montata una ulteriore struttura, in cui riporre attrezzatura varia.<\/p>\n

Un set di pannelli solari, apribile in qualsiasi momento per generare elettricit\u00e0 e disporre cos\u00ec di un’alimentazione elettrica di riserva, elimina la necessit\u00e0 di ricorrere a gruppi generatori a gas,<\/strong> liberando al contempo spazio per trasportare altri oggetti. Una scaletta a scomparsa sul posteriore del cassone (lato conducente) facilita le operazioni di carico e scarico. Il concept RAM \u00e8 inoltre dotato di un compressore aria di bordo situato nel cassone.<\/p>\n

Per le operazioni di recupero ed estrazione, l’OTG monta un verricello integrato nel paraurti anteriore, tavole di recupero fissate al sistema portapacchi e un martinetto al di sopra della cabina. Per illuminare a giorno la zona di campeggio nelle ore notturne, sul paraurti anteriore sono montate luci a LED per la guida off-road. Sempre per illuminare la zona di campeggio, nel paraurti posteriore sono state incorporate ulteriori luci ausiliarie a LED e luci di utilit\u00e0 sul sistema portapacchi posteriore.<\/p>\n

La natura di “overlander” del concept Ram 1500 Rebel OTG si esprime ulteriormente attraverso\u00a0 un look \u2018outdoor\u2019 che comprende finiture esterne ed interne Mojave Sand e grafica MOPAR Rebel sul cofano<\/p>\n

Il Concept Lowliner Mopar<\/strong><\/p>\n

La customizzazione di vetture classiche continua ad essere di moda nel mondo dell’aftermarket, per questa ragione i progettisti Mopar hanno recuperato un pick-up Dodge \u2018heavy duty\u2019 serie D200 del 1968 trasformandolo nel concept Lowliner Mopar con livrea Candied Delmonico Red e Dairy Cream, che sar\u00e0 esposto questo anno al SEMA Show.<\/p>\n

I progettisti hanno modificato il telaio originale riducendo l\u2019altezza e allungando il passo per conferire al veicolo un aspetto pi\u00f9 aggressivo. Hanno inoltre realizzato un frontale power-tilt personalizzato, per mettere in evidenza il leggendario motore diesel Cummins da 5.9 litri, abbinato a una trasmissione manuale a sei rapporti con leva del cambio posta sul pavimento.<\/p>\n

L’asse anteriore del Lowliner \u00e8 stato spostato in avanti di 7,6 cm per avvicinare le ruote anteriori agli angoli anteriori della vettura e migliorarne le proporzioni. Sugli assi anteriore e posteriore sono state montate sospensioni pneumatiche customizzate con tre modalit\u00e0 operative: assetto ribassato, altezza guidatore e rialzato.<\/p>\n

Il design delle ruote \u00e8 stato personalizzato con il look \u201csmoothie\u201d che ricorda le ruote in acciaio della fine degli anni sessanta. Il Lowliner monta ruote anteriori da 22″ x 9,5″, con pneumatici che misurano 285\/35-22, e ruote posteriori di 22″ x 11″ con pneumatici di misura 325\/35-22, che gli conferiscono un aspetto pi\u00f9 “muscoloso”.<\/p>\n

Per ottenere spazio aggiuntivo e alloggiare le sospensioni pneumatiche, il pianale del cassone \u00e8 stato rialzato di 15,25 cm. Per fare questo \u00e8 stato sostituito il pavimento originale con quello di un pick-up Ram 1500 di produzione attuale. Per poter ospitare le ruote posteriori maggiorate, lo spazio per i passaruota \u00e8 stato ampliato di 12,7 cm su ciascun lato.<\/p>\n

I progettisti hanno ammorbidito il design degli esterni a vantaggio dell\u2019aerodinamica, riducendo la presenza di grafici ed eliminando, tra l’altro, elementi quali maniglie delle porte, badge, tappo di rifornimento carburante e antenna radio.<\/p>\n

I proiettori originali sono stati sostituiti con fari a LED da 7″. Nel posteriore del Lowliner sono presenti gruppi ottici customizzati con luci di retromarcia integrate, che regalano un look moderno ad un pick-up classico.\u00a0Sui parafanghi anteriori \u00e8 presente il logo Mopar con la M a forma di omega, mentre sul portellone posteriore spicca \u00a0una grafica Dodge vintage.<\/p>\n

All’interno del concept Lowliner, i sedili a panca presentano un rivestimento in pelle Blazing Saddle Tan dall\u2019aspetto vissuto di colore arancione-ambra. Anche il rivestimento del tetto \u00e8 in pelle, con il logo Mopar con la M a forma di omega ricamato. Ad adornare il pavimento \u00e8 stata utilizzata una tappezzeria personalizzata di colore beige. \u00c8 stato mantenuto il volante originale del 1968 con l’emblema originale Dodge “Fratzog”. La strumentazione \u00e8 realizzata con 7 indicatori personalizzati Mopar, montati su di uno speciale pannello in alluminio con esclusivi motivi geometrici “motore acceso”. Sulla leva del cambio \u00e8 montato un pomello con striature metalliche traslucide e il logo Cummins a sottolineare l’aspetto retr\u00f2 della vettura.<\/p>\n

Ulteriori novit\u00e0 Mopar<\/strong><\/p>\n

Il brand Mopar continua ad ampliare la gamma di oltre 200 accessori dedicati alla Jeep\u00ae<\/sub> Wrangler e presenta una Wrangler Rubicon personalizzata con retrovisori per porte tubolari e pannelli copri porta. La vettura presenta inoltre un paraurti anteriore monopezzo in acciaio stampato, con fendinebbia integrati, ganci di traino sulla parte superiore e attacchi \u2018D-ring\u2019 nella parte inferiore. Il paraurti \u00e8 nel catalogo Mopar Production Part, ed \u00e8 attualmente gi\u00e0 acquistabile dai clienti. Il kit assetto rialzato da 2\u201d, la presa d\u2019aria Mopar e il kit verricello Mopar Warn sono solo alcune delle numerose opzioni di customizzazione disponibili per la Jeep Wrangler.<\/p>\n

Tra le altre vetture in esposizione all’evento figura la Dodge Challenger Mopar ’19, che celebra un decennio di personalizzazioni \u2018dalla fabbrica\u2019 per interni ed esterni, tra cui il pacchetto Shaker Hood e il potente motore HEMI\u00ae<\/sup> V-8 da 6,4 litri. Assieme alla Challenger saranno esposti i concept Jeep Gladiator Scrambler – ispirato alla tradizione – \u00a0e Jeep Gladiator J6, allestito con accessori Mopar, oltre ad una Plymouth Fury del 1958, resa famosa nel 1983 per l\u2019apparizione nel film \u201cChristine\u201d. Come in occasione di ogni sua partecipazione al SEMA Show, Mopar esporr\u00e0 anche la sua ultima \u2018creazione\u2019 basata sul Ram Promaster.<\/p>\n
