In particolare, il mercato cinese \u2013 cruciale per il costruttore tedesco \u2013 ha registrato un declino del\u00a0<strong>7%<\/strong>, complice la crescente concorrenza dei marchi locali come\u00a0<strong>BYD<\/strong>, che ha aumentato le proprie consegne del\u00a0<strong>41%<\/strong>\u00a0nello stesso periodo (<em>Fonte: Le Journal de l\u2019Automobile<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Il lusso non basta: crollano i margini di profitto<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mercedes-Benz aveva puntato molto sulla fascia alta del mercato, ma le vendite dei modelli premium sono diminuite del\u00a0<strong>14%<\/strong>. Questo ha portato il margine di profitto sulle vendite all\u2019<strong>8,1%<\/strong>, un valore in forte calo rispetto al\u00a0<strong>14,6% del 2022<\/strong>\u00a0e il\u00a0<strong>12,6% del 2023<\/strong>. Le previsioni per il 2025 non sono incoraggianti, con un\u2019ulteriore flessione stimata tra il\u00a0<strong>6% e l\u20198%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ma il vero campanello d\u2019allarme riguarda i veicoli elettrici: le consegne globali di\u00a0<strong>EV Mercedes<\/strong>\u00a0sono precipitate del\u00a0<strong>23%<\/strong>, fermandosi a\u00a0<strong>185.000 unit\u00e0<\/strong>. Un dato preoccupante, soprattutto se confrontato con il diretto concorrente\u00a0<strong>BMW<\/strong>, che ha registrato vendite pi\u00f9 che doppie nello stesso segmento.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Cambio di strategia: stop all\u2019elettrico totale entro il 2030<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Di fronte a questi risultati, Mercedes-Benz ha deciso di rivedere la propria strategia, ridimensionando l\u2019ambizione di diventare un marchio\u00a0<strong>full-electric entro il 2030<\/strong>. Il nuovo piano prevede il lancio di\u00a0<strong>pi\u00f9 modelli benzina e diesel<\/strong>\u00a0rispetto alle auto elettriche, con l\u2019obiettivo di migliorare i margini e ridurre il rischio legato alla domanda instabile di EV.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Un ulteriore segnale arriva dalla divisione\u00a0<strong>Mercedes-Benz Vans<\/strong>, che ha annunciato una frenata sulla transizione elettrica per contenere le perdite e mantenere competitivit\u00e0 nel mercato dei veicoli commerciali.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Taglio dei costi e rilocalizzazione della produzione<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A novembre 2023, il gruppo aveva gi\u00e0 avviato un piano di austerit\u00e0 volto a\u00a0<strong>risparmiare miliardi di euro all\u2019anno<\/strong>. Ora l\u2019obiettivo \u00e8 ridurre del\u00a0<strong>10% i costi di produzione entro il 2027<\/strong>, con la speranza di riportare i margini operativi a\u00a0<strong>doppia cifra<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tra le misure previste:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li><strong>Riduzione della capacit\u00e0 produttiva<\/strong>\u00a0delle fabbriche tedesche da\u00a0<strong>1 milione a 900.000 veicoli<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delocalizzazione della produzione<\/strong>\u00a0di un modello compatto in Ungheria, dove i costi sono inferiori del\u00a0<strong>70%<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aumento della produzione locale in USA e Cina<\/strong>\u00a0per mitigare l\u2019impatto di eventuali dazi sulle importazioni, in particolare quelli annunciati dall\u2019ex presidente americano\u00a0<strong>Donald Trump<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Attualmente, il\u00a0<strong>60% delle auto vendute<\/strong>\u00a0negli USA e in Cina viene prodotto in loco, ma Mercedes-Benz punta a portare questa quota al\u00a0<strong>70%<\/strong>. A conferma di questa strategia, la fabbrica americana di\u00a0<strong>Tuscaloosa (Alabama)<\/strong>\u00a0ricever\u00e0 un nuovo modello per affiancare la produzione di\u00a0<strong>EQE, EQS, GLE, GLE Coup\u00e9 e GLS Maybach<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Il futuro secondo Ola Kallenius<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Durante la presentazione dei risultati finanziari, il CEO di\u00a0<strong>Mercedes-Benz, Ola Kallenius<\/strong>, ha sottolineato come gli Stati Uniti rappresentino un\u2019area chiave per la crescita:<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cDopo decenni di successi negli Stati Uniti, vogliamo investire di pi\u00f9 in questo mercato.
